Trailblazing

“Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and I – I took the one less travelled by, and that has made all the difference.” – Robert Frost

I consider my blog to be my way to share with the world my ideas, my thoughts and my feelings. Through this hopefully I can change the world, but I mean, all I have is hope. That’s why I’m here today, because all that I can say right now is that my future is uncertain, but I have hope that I can achieve all that I desire.

It’s really not a lot, I want to be a Holistic Nutritionist and a POP Pilates Instructor. But if I were to broaden upon that, I want to reach as many people as possible through my jobs, and I want to help them. I want to change their lives and alter the way they think. I want them to come to the place of happiness where I am right now, so that they can find the courage within themselves that will allow them to realize something. That something is that no matter what, if you want something, you can work hard and you can reach your goals and dreams.

There wasn’t a predetermined handful of people who were decided upon to be successful in life. There’s nothing that separates someone like myself, or someone like you, from the successful individuals we see in the media today. We are all people, the only thing preventing ourselves from manifesting our dreams and living authentically is whether or not we believe in ourselves. This is where we often run in to trouble, but after talking to my mum, what I came to realize is that so many people choose to follow a path that has already been set out for them. It’s a route where of course they will need to work hard, but it’s safer because they aren’t going in blind, with no idea if they’ll ever achieve what they want.

Myself however, decided about a year ago, that the safe route wasn’t one that would satisfy my soul. It wouldn’t fullfill me in the way that I felt being a nutritionist and instructor would. In life, we all have a great deal of potential, what we only need to do is believe in it. My mum believes in my potential, and I am so grateful I have someone close to me who does. My challenge for you, is to find that person that believes in you and hold them close. This will give you the support you need to believe in your own self, and once you do you can take that chance and make that change.

When I started believing in myself, I started blogging. I decided that no matter how apprehensive I was about putting myself out there, my desire to reach people and inspire them was greater than that. It doesn’t mean that I’m not scared that I may fail, but I am going to work hard and I am going to try. If this blog were to become successful, it would be a dream come true. I plan on blazing this trail, on forgetting the naysayers who don’t understand my vision, and choosing to go forward and forge my own path. Like Robert Frost, I hope to trod upon the road less travelled and I know that it will make a difference. My steps are accounted for, and no matter what I will find myself where I am meant to be.

I believe in my dreams, and I hope that you do too, because that means we can take on this journey together and become a part of a community filled with positivity and inspiration. We are all significant, and we can all affect each other, like Mother Theresa said “I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone upon the waters to create many ripples.”
