Mindful Mondays

A Sunday well spent brings a week of content..

Lets hope so, folks! Stepping forward this week, I hope we can all remember to cherish and be present for each little moment. Earlier this morning, I was reading the entry for September 11th in the book Simple Abundance, and came across this saying:

Let us then be up and doing, with a heart for any fate. Still achieving, still pursuing. Learn to labor and to wait. – Longfellow

This quote really struck me, and I hope you can take a moment to read it to yourself a few times and let it sink in. Lets use this week to practice it – continually putting in effort and learning to be content and patient while we wait to learn what the future holds for us.

This week I regretfully do not have a new vlog for Mindfully Miranda Mondays, but the above is what I would like to call an installment in the new series MINDFUL MONDAYS, and it will serve alongside a supplementary photo post to keep you all up to date with whats been going on in my life! Cough cough.. Like my new WEBSITE!! Big things are coming for Mindfully Miranda! I am so excited to share this with all of you readers, thank you so much for your ongoing support! Without it, I wouldn’t still be blogging away, it honestly means the world to me and keeps me going!

Yesterday started with a trip to the Flea Market to peruse the eclectic collections of others, and see what we could find for ourselves. My mum and I ended up picking up some Abalone Shells from one vender, and my Dad found some tiny ceramic European figurines that have their own interesting little history! In England, it is common to find these little guys wrapped in parchment paper and baked inside of a cake! Party guests can receive these adorable little prizes when they bite into their slice – pretty neat, eh! Click here to see a bit more about them!

After the Market we ventured into the historic part of town, where we stumbled across the most amazing vintage interior design stores! THE ABODE repurposes antique furniture with fun-coloured chalk paints, along with a whole slew of other gorgeous vintage-styled pieces (I’m talking picture frames, mason jars and chalkboards galore!).

Obviously it would only seem natural that right next door to The Abode happened to be The Rustic Rooster – an equally adorable Café slash Gift Shop! Sadly it was closed just as we walked by, but I know where my next coffee date is going to take place! From what I saw, it had a very home-y, comfortable and fresh atmosphere.

Our next stop was La Belle Vie, which is the kind of store that you want to go to and never leave! The décor items are ALL things that I would decorate with, and the place is so cozy and it smells fabulous!

Take a look at this tiny pumpkin! I want to make these!

And these acorns.. I mean come on! So cute!

On the way home we came through farmland, which is my favourite part of the drive! I got to see some adorable cows, and beautiful horses (my favourite)!

And I leave you with this..

Wishing you above all Health & Happiness
